Twenty years ago, it was unimaginable for young people to enjoy flavored tobacco on a field, by the pool, or in a bar. Shisha was still associated with illicit substances like bongs, cannabis, or even heroin. It was during this challenging time for enthusiasts that Aladin Kotb founded Aladin, specializing in the production of waterpipes, accessories, and tobacco. And thus, a success story began. Little did anyone expect the overwhelming surge of the "shisha wave" that would hit Europe!

In the 90s, a shisha community started to form, which still exists in certain regions today. Forums were established, tobacco retailers began stocking Nakhla, and Aladin sold a significant portion of its products at Christmas markets, festivals, and specialized head & grow shops. The growing tourism boom in countries like Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, and others brought the first encounters with shisha. The ice was broken!

With the turn of the millennium, the true shisha boom began. Online shops gained prominence and facilitated the distribution of shishas to the most remote corners of the world. During this time, Aladin became the first manufacturer in the German market to participate in various trade fairs such as Intertabak, Ambiente, and Tendence, significantly expanding its customer base.

In 2014, the moment arrived: Origins hit the market. Vibrant, colorful, and expressive! Aladin Waterpipes challenged the mundane and introduced a waterpipe collection that was far from ordinary, featuring intense colors, exciting shapes, and unique designs. True to the motto "be original," we developed shishas that display character and offer their owners unparalleled originality.
