EM-1® is the original solution of Effective Microorganisms.

Basic concentrate for small-scale applications and especially for the production of EM-A.
EM-1 is the ideal combination of selected, regenerative microorganisms for chemical-free agriculture. It contains mainly lactic acid bacteria, yeasts and photosynthetic bacteria. It is a brownish liquid with a sweet-sour smell and a pH value of 3.5. All other EM products and applications can be traced back to EM-1. EM-1 can be propagated with sugar cane molasses, water and heat to produce EM-A (see soil FIT).
In EM, different types of aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms live together in an equilibrium where one benefits from the metabolic products of the other. This perfect symbiosis of EM produces strong regenerative, restorative and antioxidant powers. With the help of EM, a natural balance of beneficial microorganisms is restored.
With the help of EM technology, nothing is fought or prevented. Instead, the existing environment is influenced in such a way that restorative, regenerative processes become possible.

Application and dosage
EM-1 can be used in the same way as soil FIT. However, it is mainly used to produce EM-A or EM-5.

Storage:
Store in a cool (12-18 °C) and dark place. Do not store in the refrigerator.
Shelf life:
See label on the bottle.
When using, make sure that not too much oxygen gets into the liquid. Therefore, the bottles should be hermetically sealed quickly after opening. It is possible that whitish flakes form in the EM-1 liquid. However, this does not affect the quality, as they are only the visible deposits of the yeast bacteria when in contact with oxygen.
Packaging:
PET bottle or PET canister, empty packages can be disposed of with household waste.
