Sage, 15g
sage - 15g
The True Sage (Salvia officinalis) was already known in antiquity and was taken in the Middle Ages by monks across the Alps. This is used in many ways, on the one hand as a cooking spice and the other hand in the art of healing. The leaves and flowers are eaten raw or cooked. The very aromatic leaves are used to flavor cooked foods. The leaves aid digestion and are therefore used with heavy, greasy foods. The sage leaves give savory dishes a sausage-like taste. The young, fresh leaves and flowers can be eaten raw or scalded inserted. Sprinkled over salads they supplement it with color and fragrance.
Active ingredients: Essential oil (including with thujone and camphor), tannins and bitter substances, flavonoids
Temperature steam at max 190 degrees Celsius.
