Bluelab Guardian Monitor

The Guardian Monitor from Bluelab monitors your plants 24 hours a day. The monitor has everything you need for successful plant cultivation. Bluelab Guardian reliably measures the conductivity, pH and temperature of your nutrient solution. Bluelab Combo has two probes that are simply held in the water. One pH probe and one for EC and temperature. On the large screen, all three parameters can be read at a glance. The buttons each have two functions, which are used by pressing them briefly or for a long time. The unit must be calibrated before first use.
Bluelab Guardian Monitor has an alarm function and a flashing indicator informs you when a parameter changes. The Combi meter can be used anytime and anywhere. Calibration of pH is very easy and quick due to the simple two-point calibration. Temperature and EC do not need to be calibrated with this unit. The pH probe can be easily replaced as needed. Always keep the pH probe moist to avoid permanent damage and to increase its life span.

The pH value has considerable importance in the cultivation of plants. It indicates the acidity of substrates, watering water and nutrient solutions. Overall, the pH value can be between 0 and 14. The value provides information about the availability of plant nutrients. In strongly acidic or alkaline media, plants can no longer absorb certain nutrients. In addition, some nutrients can be released in large quantities under these conditions, so that they can then also become harmful to plants.
Conductivity (EC value) is a relevant parameter in plant cultivation. It is defined as the ability of a medium to conduct an electric current. By definition, it is also the inverse function of the electrical resistance. Thus, the fertiliser content in the nutrient solution can be measured.
